What a beautiful environment, a fantastic view - the beautiful mountains and this cottage had simply everything that I needed. The sunset was stunning! Beautifully clean well set up cottage. Our hosts at Bloemenzee Boutique B&B provided not only the most unforgettable location with fantastic rooms, garden and view over Gordons Bay into False Bay, but also with unbelievable hospitality and the perfect level of family integration and respect for privacy. Dear Lidwien and Frans, thank you so much for a truly wonderful time. PS: Anyone staying at this gorgeous venue should seriously consider Frans's exclusive dinner. PPS: We thoroughly appreciated the absence of a TV set in the room.

The location is ideal. Gordon's Bay is a nice little town, not far from Cape Town or the airport. The setting is spectacular, with mountains and sea, and the beach is protected from major waves. There are a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance. The town is safe and the property secure. There is a beautiful drive along the coast towards Betty's Bay, which I highly recommend. There is a colony of African penguins there. Big Skies has a small pool, which we used in the heat of the afternoon. The breakfasts were very good, and there was a decent amount of variety. I enjoy the personal attention of guesthouses and small hotels, and Kobus and Irene were excellent hosts. Conversation at breakfast and the bar with them and other guests was enjoyable. Parking is inside the property gates and is secure.
