The staff was not fluent in English but they were very helpful and used a translating app to speak to us. The room was clean, breakfast was great, the sauna and hot springs (2 large bath tubs) were amazing as well. 5 Stars.

It’s also on the old Nakasendo and you can visit a few of the historic buildings of the town. The hotel is very nice (as the staff), has public baths, free coffee throughout the day and rice in the evening, plus amenities such as toothbrush, razor, yukata, etc. You have to take off your shoes which is a nice detail. We had the Comfort Twin room with shower and it was decently spacious.

Exceptional views from just outside the building of Gifu mountains, and the rooms themselves are very well-equiped and comfy, considering the price! Also, the staff went above and beyond to make sure I could check-in without a physical passport (as I didn't have it at the time), and helped me check-in just with a picture I had of it.

The breakfast spread is very good for the price. The breakfast room is also roomy compared to other business hotels. The cost of accommodation is very cheap considering the location. JR line users have to walk 10-11 minutes from the station but the hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the Meitetsu Gifu station.
